Even better than before!
The latest update (3.1.0) of Polarr really made this application shine! While I’m not big on the face detection stuff, it seems to work really well for what it’s meant for. So for the people that do use face detection and need those specific touch-up tools, I think they will find it very useful! The latest version of Polarr is extremely zippy and performs extremely well with RAW files. Honestly, the simplicity of the app is what makes it so great. If you’re a pro or an amature, I think there’s tons of value to be had. The only thing that I wish the app had was a better wat to manage your timeline / galary that you’re working on.
Polarr gives lightroom a run for it’s money IMO. If you just used Lightroom, Aperture, or even iPhoto JUST for editing, I think you’ll find that Polarr can perform just as well. If you need cataloging and album sorting, right now, it’s not the app for you. I still highly recommend it though! It’s a great editor and it get’s the job done FAST! Plus, the ability to edit on your mobile and push it to the desktop or vice versa is just cool!
