Polarr Photo Editor Pro App Reviews

Most “PRO” options were included in the free version

Not quite worth the $13.99, as previous versions had most of the “pro” only options availble for free.

Fantastic Extension to Photos

I used to use Polarr via a web browser before upgrading to El Capitan. When I upgraded my Mavericks to El Capitan, I saw Polarr available as an extension to Photos and thought I would give it a shot. The integration to Photos is seamless. One downside though (which is not caused by Polarr but Photos) is that for every photo I’m editing I have to go in and out of Polarr, back and forth to Photos. In terms of features and tools to edit photos, this version of Polarr has got almost everything that Lightroom can offer. And, you pay only once what you would be paying monthly to Adobe.

Crashes my (late 2007) iMac

Bought this application to use as an extension to Photos. Unfortunately, within a few minutes of launching my iMac screen gets garbled and only a reboot (or logout/login if I can guess from the garbled menu which item is “logout”) gets me back up and running. Has potential, but a waste of money for my old iMac as of now. Too bad.

Simple But Powerful App

Works as an extension in Photos. Provides powerful editing tools. You can choose to make use of the simplified features or if you have the expertise, far more powerful editing tools are there for you. The app is worth far more than it is being sold for.

would get 5 stars if I could export edits to uncompressed TIFF!

Great app and awesome extesnion.. would love if the standalone app had uncompressed TIFF option instead of PNG..

Awesome!!

I love the new version of Polarr. I was looking for an alternative to Lightroom (too expensive!) and was hoping to find something similar to VSCOcam as I use that app on my phone. I stumbled upon Polarr and it’s ALL that I wished for and more. I can make any adjustments I want, use pre-existing filters, make my own and batch export my images in an easy to use interface. On top of that it’s only $27.99 and I was so willing to pay that! Thanks Polarr Team, you created a great app!

Photos are distorted when opened

I don’t know how this happened, but the app is now not useable.

Integration

5 balls for iphoto integration

Oversatured pics after exporting it

Polarr is a fantastic app but I got a little problem in every version of it: After working on a photo and exported it in jpeg, the final photo looks oversaturated! It’s a bit frustating because the photo on the app looks totally different (in terms of colors) from the exported one. I have always to put it down the saturation slider.

Limited export

reads RAW, but won’t export to TIFF. seems odd.

Nice program

It is so easy to edit my photo, good idea .

Great for Beginners!

It’s a really great photo editing app. I paid for both the iphone and mac versions - They’re THAT good. Everything is simple to use, and if I were interested in learning more about each editing tool, there are videos readily available. 100% worth it, and 0% regret. Just do it.

I has guide me of edit photos of less boring images

When I taking a camera shots on general landscape on my iPhone it doesn’t the better feel with it. I got this app and brought it for a try. When I import any images I was stunning about this filter changer and was amaze. It has helping me editing a photo.

Great Editor

When I need to do a quick edit I use this and not Photoshop. Gets the job done quickly and easily. Recomend this to all levels of photographers.

Not good

If you were looking for something easy to use like microsoft stuff is…this ain’t it. It just doesn’t do much at all. Another MAC software rip off.

Excellent refinement to an already brilliant app

Already my go to photo editor for over a year, this revision streamlines and brings some nice updates to the already powerful toolset. 5 stars all the way.

Fantastic

The best feature set, quick to use, absolutely a powerful program. Still discovering all the capabilities. Good for starters and intermediate level editing!

GOOD APP MUCH IMPROVED

Liked Polarr before but with version 2.0 I think I’m in love.

I think 2.0.1 is a good upgrade !!

All those new filters and navigation bar coupled with tweaking tools is definitely a huge upgrade . My take is that althoug it is worth the $19.99 honestly it would sell better at $14.99 . I do have to say thank you to Polarr for not making this a paid upgrade !!!! .

Loaded with features ideal for intermdiate level photographers

This is basically a LR equivalent and more, without the photo gallery management abilities. I really like the clean layout of the app, as well as the way brushing, color masking, and gradient masking are arranged together. The filter packs are superb too. The face editing panel has automatic face detection in it, but it is not extremely precise for all faces. I think dev will update this soon.
